Todd Stapleton, Owner

Todd Stapleton, Owner

Todd has been operating Stapleton Construction here in Billings, Montana since 2006. He grew up in Great Falls, MT, and earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics at MSU Billings. He started his building career as a production finish carpenter, and his interest in the building trades branched out into all phases of home construction. He is a licensed, bonded, and insured general contractor. In his spare time, Todd fly fishes the Big Horn, builds furniture at his shop, or hangs out with his wife Monica (the good woman behind that man), two daughters, and multiple dogs.

Employees

Kyle and Ryan work for us full-time and both completed the House Construction Second Year program at the Career Center. Mitch, also a full-time employee, has a degree in geology from the University of Wyoming, but is currently exploring his interest in the construction field. Justin is a summer intern working on his physician's assistant degree at Rocky Mountain College.

Our Remodeling Philosophy

Our Remodeling Philosophy

Everything Can Be Fixed

We believe that everything can be fixed. Billings is full of homes built with quality materials, but often these homes, though they have good bones, are tired and dated. We work new life into them by opening up walls, increasing their functionality, and updating fixtures, finishes, and exteriors to suit the needs and tastes of the homeowner.

Repair, Restore, Reuse

Repair, Restore, Reuse

We believe that remodeling construction should respect the integrity of the home's architecture. We repair, restore, or reuse whenever possible and complete design and construction with quality methods, materials, and craftsmanship that seamlessly blend new with old.

Open Communication

Open Communication

We believe that the key to a successful remodel is open communication throughout the remodeling process. Should you choose Stapleton Construction as your remodeling contractors, Todd will visit your home and discuss your ideas for your project. He will draw a floor plan and write an estimate which, upon your approval, will become a contract. Demolition will begin, then framing, drywall, finishes and fixture installation. Throughout this process, you will be expected and encouraged to speak your mind about the progress of your remodel. If you need to make a decision but don't know what you want, we will present you with options and assist you through the decision-making process.

Home is Sacred

Home is Sacred

We believe that home is sacred and won't bring anybody into your home that we wouldn't have in our own. Currently, Stapleton Construction has three full-time employees who are well known to us. Family members and close friends help us out when they can, and we use subcontractors who are established in Billings and invested in this city. When you are not at home, we believe it is our job to protect it as if it were our own. As clients most often stay in their homes during remodeling, we aim to be as unobtrusive as possible, and keep your home clean and orderly to the best of our ability. We respect your pets, your plants, your possessions, your privacy, and the way you choose to live.

Quality Materials

Quality Materials

We believe a quality remodel requires quality products. We use the best materials the budget allows so that your remodel will withstand the test of time.

Craftsmanship

Craftsmanship

Finally, we believe that the success of a project boils down quality craftsmanship. We are meticulous in our attention to detail, and know that if we are proud of our work, you will be, too. You will always get the very best craftsmanship that our team can provide.
